TL;DR: We collect the minimum data necessary to provide the Service. We do not sell your data. We do not track you across the internet. Your query content is not stored.

1. Information We Collect

Celestial Roots has no user accounts and no registration. We do not maintain a database of user records.

2. What We Do NOT Collect

Names, email addresses, or passwords — we have no account system
Payment information (handled entirely by the third-party Sales Platform)
IP addresses for tracking purposes
Cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking — we set no cookies at all
Social media profiles or contacts
Location data
Analytics or behavioural tracking data of any kind

3. How We Use Your Information

To generate the reading you requested
To verify your activation code and enforce daily usage limits
To respond to your support requests

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.

4. Data Retention

Account data: None. We operate no accounts and no registration, so there is no account record about you to retain or delete. We do not store your name, email address, or password.
Query content: Not stored. Processed in memory and discarded after the response.
Birth data (birth profile): Stored only in your browser's local storage on your own device, and sent to us only when you submit a request. It persists between visits so you do not have to re-enter it. It is not kept on our servers. Clearing your browser's site data removes it immediately, and you can clear it yourself at any time.
Anonymous session ID: Also stored only in your browser's local storage, and used solely to link your activation code to this browser. Clearing your browser's site data deletes it.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

AI processing: DeepSeek. Your messages are forwarded to this provider to generate your reading; the content is processed in order to produce the response and is not retained by us afterwards. The provider's own handling is governed by its privacy policy.
Payment processing: a third-party sales platform that acts as the merchant of record. Your payment is handled entirely by that platform under its own privacy policy; we never receive or store your payment details.
Hosting: Alibaba Cloud (Hangzhou, China)

6. Data Security

We implement the following measures:

HTTPS is being enabled to encrypt data in transit; it is not yet active
No password or credential storage, because we have no account system
Minimal data collection principle — we keep no database of user records

7. Your Rights

Because we hold no account records about you, most privacy choices are exercised directly in your own browser:

Access the data held about you — your birth profile is stored in your browser's local storage, where you can view it at any time.
Delete your data — clear your browser's site data to remove your birth profile and session ID immediately.
Opt out — stop using the Service at any time; no further data is sent or processed.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
